Using the word 'reminiscent', my partner and I wanted to tell the story of a senior on her last day of school, reminiscing about memories from her Freshman year, as she walked around the school for the last time. From a school bathroom to turning a hallway corner, the protagonist was flooded with memories. When brainstorming, we went through the idea, such as possible scenes, attempting to understand the intention behind telling this story. Then we created a series of potential scenes and their shots and angles, using a storyboard. This helped us plan and organize our thoughts and ideas, even as we began filming. When working through the editing process, we used an application called Adobe Express. This allowed us to rearrange our scenes, cut unwanted and unnecessary footage, add transitions, and even change the color of some of the shots.
Our planning was done very well, as it helped us stay organized and allowed us to work efficiently, as we always knew what scene had to be filmed next and how it should be done. However, I wish we had filmed a few more scenes, perhaps taking the story in a different direction, or even just expanding on it. I like the scenes we shot, and the angle we took for each; I just wish more could have been done to provide a more in-depth storyline in the end.
